About four months ago we were presented with a dilemma when many of our families lost bus service. By the grace of God and generosity of so many along the way, I am proud to announce that St Michael Bus 1 will be in service tomorrow! Special thank you to Dusty and Jackie Fussnecker once again for purchasing the bus and making sure everything was up to code. Thanks to all the employees at Fussnecker and Sons who helped along the way and thanks to The Home Place in Georgetown who will serve as our bus stop. This bus will be used for any SMS family who does not currently receive bus service from their public district. It will also be used for local field trips. I will see our SMS 1 bus riders tomorrow between 7 and 710 at The Home Place tomorrow morning!

Christmas Week at SMS!

Christmas
We have just completed our stock market simulator for the Math Enrichment Group 7-8 grade and Griffin Ernst ended up on top our class finishing 14th overall out of all of the middle school students in the program. All of our students did well. In fact, they all finished in the top 60 of 120 + middle school stock market programs in south-western ohio (including schools like Mason High School and Sycamore who are DI schools). It is a great life lesson on how to invest your money and save for retirement.

Good afternoon! This message is in regards to lunch at school this week. On Monday, we will have our annual Thanksgiving Dinner, where all of our students and staff gather in the Hall to eat together. This is free of charge for all of our students. On Tuesday, one of our awesome parents is purchasing pizza for the whole school! Please don't forget we will dismiss at 12:30 on Tuesday!

ACE Information
Good afternoon! We had a great time visiting with our grandparents this morning! Tomorrow we will have mass beginning at 8:15. We will have staff in the church helping grandparents to their assigned pews. Students will first report to homeroom and then come to the church to be seated with their grandparents at 8:05. Due to the use of the Hall for Grandparent's Day, lunch will be served in classrooms tomorrow.

During the month of November, the Catholic Church devoutly prays for the faithful departed. We honored this devotion at SMS by visiting the Old Ripley Cemetery today, with first-eighth graders. We were blessed with beautiful weather and great conversation. Some discussions were centered around the Revolutionary War because three veterans are buried in the historical graveyard. It was great to spend our morning with our beloved veterans of the community and continue this lesson throughout the school day. Ask your students about their day, it was packed with adventures in learning!
