Hello SMS Families,

We hope everyone is having a nice weekend! Congratulations to all of our 2nd graders who will be receiving Holy Communion for the first time at Sunday Mass this weekend!

Our seventh and eighth grade will be on their adventure to Washington DC this week! They are leaving very early Monday morning and will return on Friday. They will see Arlington National Cemetery, the Capitol, go to Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, as well as take a night tour of the Lincoln Memorial, and much more. Please keep them all in your prayers!

SMS BUS: Please remember there will be no SMS bus service this Monday. Mr. Glassmeyer will drive in the morning and afternoon Tuesday-Friday. Thanks to Mr. Glassmeyer for volunteering his services.

Next Sunday, April 26, some of our seventh and eighth graders will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains in Cincinnati at 1:30 pm. Please keep our 7th and 8th grade students in your prayers as they prepare for this Holy Sacrament!

We are down to just a few who still need to turn in registration and/or Scholarship materials. If you are one of those few, this is another gentle reminder to get those turned in asap.

As we head down the stretch, I would like to ask for help from everyone on a couple items. First, as the temperatures get warmer, kids get thirstier. Please make sure children have a water bottle, that can be filled by our bottle fillers. Secondly, please make sure students are following the uniform code, including appropriate skirt lengths. I appreciate you help.

A few other field trips parents need to be aware of, and filling out permission slips, fees, etc.

Have a great weekend everyone
