Congratulations to all of the children who received Holy Communion for the first time today, especially our six 2nd graders. Please join me in praying for our first communicants as they enter this next step in their young lives!

Incredibly, we have only 5 weeks left in the school year. Things will be happening fast, please make sure you are in the know!

Monday- The Cincinnati Observatory will be visiting SMS in the morning and will meet with small groups to talk about several different topics including rocketry and recap of the eclipse.

Tuesday- Nothing out of the ordinary here. Tutoring will be available after school until 5:00 pm for grades 3-8. Please email Mr. Arn to RSVP.

Wednesday- Kona Ice will make their first visit of 2024. Please send $5 in for your child in an envelope with your child's name and "Kona Ice" on it.

  • We will also be sending home a white SMS folder that will have several important papers for each family including (outstanding balances, permission slips, etc) Please make sure you see the contents of the folder and return them with anything that needs to come back to the office, on Thursday.

Thursday- 7th and 8th grade are headed to the Reds game. There will be no tutoring this day.

Friday-

  • The Ripley Life Squad including former SMS student Shanee Weatherspoon have a presentation for our students.

  • The 5-8 grade Spring Dance is from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

Sunday- Our students will join students from our family of parishes at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral in Cincinnati, to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at 2:00 pm.
