Because the anniversary of Johnny Appleseed's birth (September 26th) happened over Fair Break, we celebrated in kindergarten yesterday. The kindergartners played a “1-2-3 Apple Game,” participated in an “Apple Taste Test” in which they tasted three different colors of apples, constructed an apple bar graph using the data gathered from both a real graph and a picture graph, and chopped up apples to make homemade applesauce. They had the applesauce for snack today! A huge THANKS to the moms and grandma for coming in to help out by running the four apple stations! A great time was had by all!
