Most of the times when we study the lives of the Saints, we are learning about the lives of people who lived centuries ago. Over the past few years, we have been learning about the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis, an Italian boy who lived a remarkable, Holy, life who many believe will become the first millennial Saint. Carlo lived as a great example for all, but especially young people. One of his most famous quotes was, " to always be close to Jesus, that is my life plan" Wednesday, October 12 is the 16th anniversary of the death of Carlo Acutis, which is recognized as his feast day.
To celebrate next Wednesday, SMS students and staff may wear t-shirts/sweatshirts and jeans, because that is what Blessed Carlo was wearing when he was buried. Please no skin-tight or holey jeans, and t-shirts/sweatshirts may not have inappropriate writing on them. October 12 also happens to be the day of the "R" Farms field trip for P-2. Those students may dress down as well, but we highly encourage those students to wear red shirts, to make it easier to keep track of them.
