Several classes were given a cup with caterpillars in it. The students learned about the life cycle of a butterfly as they watched the caterpillars grow from a quarter of an inch to about 1 1/2 inches in length, form a chrysalis around themselves, and finally break out into beautiful Painted Lady butterflies. Today the kindergartners released their butterflies into God's wonderful world. They were sad to see them go, but also had fun watching them fly off to enjoy their freedom.
