The season of Advent began this week. Although it is a season of preparation, many confuse Advent with the preparation of Jesus’ first coming due to it’s close proximity to Christmas. Actually the season of Advent is a time of preparation for Jesus’ next coming. There are many wonderful traditions that we all hold dear during this time of year, but we should remember above all, it is a time to prepare our souls for Jesus. The first candle on the wreath, lit in the first week of Advent represents HOPE.
