Good Evening SMS Families,

It was great to see so many of you today! We are looking forward to a great year, and excited to start tomorrow.

A couple quick reminders. The SMS bus leaves the Home Place at 7:10 in the morning, and drops off at the Home Place at approximately 3:05. Those who live in Georgetown or Ripley school districts should ride the Georgetown or Ripley bus. Also, please remember that the Ripley bus will not begin running until next week. If you need help with any of that information, please let us know and we will put you in contact with them.

Drop off begins at 7:35. You may park on or below the hill and walk students in, but keep in mind tomorrow will be more crowded than normal. Everyone need to be patient. If you would just like to drop your child off, it is very easy. Just pull in front of the school. Deputy Huff and Mr. Hyde will be there to hele students get out of the car, and with traffic. After you drop off, just exit down Hemphill Alley. At pickup, bus riders will be dismissed first, then car riders will come out. There will be two lines of cars on Market Street facing the school. When all the car riders have been dismissed, and make it to their vehicles, Each line on the hill will be dismissed down the alley one at a time. This usually runs very smoothly. If you and are not sure, I suggest you park on 4th St or at one of the churches at the bottom of the hill and walk up to greet your child when they come out of school. You will see how it works.

It seemed like most of our families came today, but if you did not, please keep an eye out for a white, SMS folder that contains some important forms that need to be filled out and returned to the office as soon as possible.

If you have not logged into OptionC to fill out eforms yet, please do so as soon as possible. If you are having problems logging in, just let us know. If you are a new SMS family, I will likely have to reset your password.

We are less than three weeks from the SMS Golf Outing. This is our first big fundraiser of the year. We had a lot of sponsorships and prizes dropped off today, but we have a long way to go still, and very little time. Please make sure to get your sponsors, teams and prizes in to the office, as we get things together for this great event!
