We work hard, we play hard! SMS Field Day '26 was a huge success! We heard several times today, "this is the best day ever", which is what field day is all about. Thanks to so many in our school community for coming together to make this such a great day! Thanks to our staff for leading their teams with excitement and enthusiasm, and pitching in wherever help was needed. Special thanks to Miss Cox who did a great job organizing the events! Special thanks also to Mrs Kelly for securing this year's venue, it was awesome. Huge thank you to the Village of Aberdeen for allowing us to use their beautiful park! I cant imagine a more picturesque setting for field day. Thanks also to the Aberdeen Life Squad, who was on site all day to ensure a safe field day! Thanks to all of our parent and grandparent volunteers who pitched in and helped where needed. Thanks especially to Meghan Huffman who once again outdid herself with the obstacle course. Thanks also to everyone who donated food and drinks for the day, your generosity is greatly appreciated! The weather even turned out great despite some downpours on the drive to school today!
