Because Johnny Appleseed Day always occurs during the week of the Brown County Fair, the kindergartners celebrated after returning from Fair Break. They rotated through four apple stations: playing a "1-2-3 Apple Game;" participating in an "Apple Taste Test" in which they tasted three different colors of apples, constructing a bar graph showing how many of each color of apple had been brought in that day, and chopping up apples to make homemade applesauce. They had the applesauce for snack the following day.
