Issue 1

One of our common recurring themes this year in morning prayer has been protecting the vulnerable. Of course this is a very broad and complex subject, so we have gone into great lengths discussing who the vulnerable are. After we had a good understanding what the word "vulnerable" means we discussed how at times in our lives we will all be vulnerable in one way or another. We will also have opportunities in our lives to protect the vulnerable,

Of course, this fall there is a direct threat to the most vulnerable on the November 7 ballot. Please understand this is not a Republican and Democrat debate, this is about protecting the basic fundamental right of every human, the right to life.

This Saturday, October 14th, there will be a Rosary Rally on Courthouse Square in Georgetown by the Jesus mural. We will begin praying at noon for the moms, dads, the unborn, and all vulnerable and marginalized people. I would like to invite all SMS families to come join in  prayer. I would not anticipate that it would take too long, but this is certainly a cause that is close to the heart of SMS and our mission.

If you can't join us in Georgetown, I encourage you to pray with your families for the protection of the most vulnerable and an end to abortion.
