For the few of you who still have not completed applying for EDchoice, the Ohio Department of Education has put out more tutorials to help you along the way, and I wanted to share them with you.
Please remember the first step is to fill out the 2023-24 Edchoice Request Form. Here is a tutorial to help you with that. Once completed, turn in the application along with a utility bill that shows your name, billing address, and service address, along with your child's birth certificate, and I will upload those to the ODE portal.
Once these three items have been turned in to the school office, then the parent must complete income verification on the their ODE portal. A tutorial for this step is attached here. The good news is, this will be the only time you will have to complete the income verification process, unless you request to change it in the future.
Remember, EVERYONE who lives in Ohio is eligible for this scholarship and will receive at least a partial scholarship. ALL SMS parents who live in Ohio must apply for this scholarship. We still have 17 out of our 126 K-8 students who have yet to apply. We are off to a good start, but if you have not started please do so soon.
